Starting in September 2015, this event will consist of a meandering happy hour, and extended gallery hours for the area of West Main Street in Richmond, VA. The logo concept is based on way-finding signage and is a fresh take on the idea of "you are here".
Wednesdays on West Main is an upcoming neighborhood event in Richmond, VA. West Main Street is home to a number of art galleries, restaurants, and shops. Wednesdays on West Main is not your typical "art walk". More of a meandering happy hour, the logo concept communicates the idea of knowing where you are and finding your own fun in the city.
The following ad ran in the fall Visual Arts Center of Richmond course catalog. Continuing with the idea of self-location, I illustrated a map of the fan area of Richmond, highlighting the path of West Main Street.
